Hainan Communications Planning Surveying And Design Institute is a state-owned company affiliated to Hainan Provincial Department of Transportation, established in April 1984 with registered capital of 10 million yuan.

Hainan Communications Planning Surveying And Design Institute currently qualified with 7 National Class A Professional Certificates,and we are the only provincial comprehensive design institute located in Hainan majored in professional design,survey and consultant for highway, municipal road and bridge projects, as well as provide profound planning and consultant service for water transport.

1984年4月，海南省公路勘察设计院的前身—海南公路局设计室成立。1990年更名为海南省公路局公路勘察设计院，1993年始称海南省公路勘察设计院，并于1994年完成工商注册正式更名为海南省公路勘察设计院。2018年3月，伴随着开拓新业务的步伐，更名为海南省交通规划勘察设计研究院（以下简称“省院”），业务范围不断扩大。在坚定从事公路、市政道路、桥梁专业勘察、设计、咨询和图审定位的同时，配合国家发展海南自贸区（港）建设的方针政策，进一步开拓了水运规划、设计方面的业务。目前拥有工程咨询、工程勘察、工程设计、市政工程道路、桥梁设计等7个国家甲级资质，在海南省交通运输厅厅党组的正确领导和支持下，步入了发展的快车道，为海南交通发展和专业人才培养做出较大贡献。
